LAST UPDATED 10/28/05
FULL
COLORS UPDATE
(Cosby Foothills Parkway Overlook ONLY Updated 11/02/2005)
FULL UPDATE FROM ALL LOCATIONS SOON
|
|
| As of September
19th, 2005
God has blessed us with over 7,700 HTML pages of Smokies specific info
along with over 10,000 Smokies specific photos online, more company
owned, Smokies specific info than ANYWHERE in the world, and more info than ALL the other Smokies specific Chambers, Dept. of
Tourisms, and portals COMBINED!!! And we are adding more info
almost daily! We have also been blessed with our own Internet
Gospel Radio Station at www.SmokyMountainGospel.com
Well,
it's that time of the year again, and we are already seeing MANY
requests for Smokies color progression, so we will begin this years
progression starting Sunday, September 19th, 2005!
This time
of the year, one of our most asked questions are: "When will the
colors 'peak' this year?" Well that IS a GOOD
question. The colors peak at different times every year, along
with different times relative to elevation. (If you would like to
see EXACTLY how last years (2004), (2003), (2002) or even (2001) colors progressed, just click
on the menu options to your LEFT!) Many factors determine when and how brilliant the colors
will be, including the amount of rainfall previously received, starting
now the more sunny days and chilly nights we receive will increase
the brilliance. WE will take care of presenting weekly updates for
YOU! So you can experience at many different elevations, the
entire cycle from the first turning of the colors, until completion! |

Shot Photos From All Elevations (except Roaring Fork) Adding Them NOW
(MAYBE 10% Change So Far, Some Areas Virtually NO COLORS YET!)
Pretty much the only colors we encountered were at the LOWEST elevation
at
The Dollywood Welcome Center, yet most trees nearby showed little to no
colors, so go figure?
Guestimating peak colors are still 7-10 days off minimum????
Just a Guess, don't hold us to it, will have another update soon! |
