This time of the year, one of our most asked questions are: "When will the colors 'peak' this year?"   Well that IS  a GOOD question.  The colors peak at different times every year, along with different times relative to elevation.  (If you would like to see EXACTLY how last years (2004), (2003),  (2002) or even (2001) colors progressed, just click on the menu options to your LEFT!)  Many factors determine when and how brilliant the colors will be, including the amount of rainfall previously received, starting now the more sunny days and chilly nights we receive will increase the brilliance.  WE will take care of presenting weekly updates for YOU!  So you can experience at many different elevations, the entire cycle from the first turning of the colors, until completion!

 (MAYBE 10% Change So Far, Some Areas Virtually NO COLORS YET!)
Pretty much the only colors we encountered were at the LOWEST elevation at 
The Dollywood Welcome Center, yet most trees nearby showed little to no colors, so go figure?
Guestimating peak colors are still 7-10 days off minimum????
