approximately 5,048' above sea level. As a higher-range elevation
reference point in the Smokies, colors will progress here sooner than
mid and lower range elevations, yet after Clingman's Dome and other
higher elevations, and is a good benchmark to predict coming colors at
the lower elevations such as the Gatlinburg Bypass (1,901') or the
Dollywood Welcome Center at Downtown Pigeon Forge Traffic Light #7
