Gatlinburg's Bypass parking area's elevation is approximately 1,901'
above sea level. A mid-range elevation reference point in
the Smokies, colors will progress here sooner than lower elevations, yet
after Clingman's Dome and other higher elevations, and is a good
benchmark to predict coming colors at the lower elevations such as the
Dollywood Welcome Center at Downtown Pigeon Forge Traffic Light #7
(Dollywood Lane)!
